Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a subtle, light touch, modality more similar to energy work than traditional “massage”. After receiving a CST session you will feel peaceful, relaxed, and calm.
While this work feels very different than a “deep tissue” massage, the benefits can be deep and long lasting.
The benefits my clients report from CST:
- Relief from chronic headaches/ migraines
- Relief from chronic neck and back pain
- Relief from jaw pain from TMJ syndrome
- Improved sleep
- Sense of calm
- Improved body symmetry
I evaluate your craniosacral system by gently sensing points on your head, feet, and along your spine to test for the ease of motion and rhythm of the cerebrospinal fluid. Soft-touch techniques are then used to release restrictions in any tissues influencing the craniosacral system. I often end your massage session with a few minutes of CST. You may mix and match your session to include traditional Swedish massage, Thai massage, therapeutic stretching, and/ or craniosacral work.
Love Anne! I like the balance of working out followed by massage…it’s the combination that make this a killer treatment. I like to book ninety minutes, and start with half hour of Pilates followed by amazing massage…she does craniosacral massage, hard to find anyone certified in this really light touch but effective body work. I suffer from vertigo and chronic neck pain and cranial is the way to go.
