My super helpful IT guy Paul (of Mambo Media) just uploaded some new Pilates and Yoga videos for me. Hooray! The “Pilates for Back Strength” one features yours truly demonstrating Pilates stabilization exercises. This series is especially useful if you suffer from low back pain. Just remember to keep your belly button pulled in to your spine and breathe!
The “Yoga Vinyasa Flow” video shows a basic flowing Vinyasa series with a few standing balance poses. This is a good example of the series we go through in the Monday night Yoga class at my Sellwood studio.
Want to try out some of these moves? Call Anne to reserve your spot in an upcoming class or to meet with her for a private consultation. 503-705-4762.
Join Anne this Sunday April 3rd from 12:30 to 2 pm for “Healthy Abs and Backs”. We integrate Pilates core strength exercises and Yoga standing balance postures with myofascial release on the foam roller. Leave feeling taller, stronger and pain free!
Anne’s Wednesday Pilates class at Sellwood yoga has moved to 10:30 am. Oh and we are now calling it “Healthy Abs and Backs”. Never tried Pilates? Come on down and check it out. The class is ongoing and drop ins are welcome. Today we will be working back stabilization, going through our January Five exercises and rolling out on the foam roller.
Anne and her massage table will be at Oaks Park in Sellwood this Sunday from 8 to 10 am. She is offering post event massages after the Lululemon 5k/10k. All proceeds go to benefit Street Yoga. Come cheer on the Sellwood Yoga team, hop on the massage table, or just stop by to say hi!
Thanks Blainey for the help and the photo! Anne did 2 hours of massage and raised some dough for Street Yoga!
Join Anne for a sixty minute lunch time workout Wednesdays at noon at Sellwood Yoga 7970 B S.E. 13th Ave. We will be starting with Joe’s basic twenty-five or so core strengthening exercises. Summer is just around the corner and it’s never to early to start working on your washboard abs!
Sign up online at Sellwood Yoga’s website or drop in. Whether you are new to Pilates or have some experience with moves like the Hundreds, Teaser and Seal, Anne will provide exercise modifications so that you leave feeling successful and maybe a little sore (in a good way).
